Developing Entrepreneurial Women Programme

Supported by NatWest group

Goal

We support women entrepreneurs to succeed

Open to any women and non-binary people in the Cardiff Capital Region, the Developing Entrepreneurial Women programme aims to address the barriers to female entrepreneurship, namely those around confidence, agency/efficacy and self-esteem and resilience. Over the course of the next year we will be holding events, workshops, networking and more.

Target

We help towards breaking barriers

The programme will be further supplemented by business coaching sessions, in smaller cohorts, to help address practical barriers to trading, while building a sustainable support community.

Commencing in November, the fortnightly business start-up workshops will be facilitated by visual artist and facilitator Prith Biant. The aim of the program is to take the seed of your business idea and help you make it a reality. It runs of 8 sessions that each build upon each other. Prith has been running her own business for over 15 years, starting with an arts agency, then a creative training company and now as an artist. She works in schools as a creative practitioner, teaches and runs creative workshops with women around self-image and empowerment. You can find out more about her work here www.pritb-art.com.

No matter what your business- from coaching, consultancy, cooking or crochet…. Whether you have a detailed business plan, or the kernel of an idea. We are here to help you forge ahead in the Startup landscape.

This will help us to gauge your areas of interest and tailor the activities accordingly!

We will be holding a number of events over the coming months, as mentioned, alongside a weekly business startup and advice programme set to commence in November.

We are trying to be mindful of participants’ availability, but obviously, that isn’t always possible. We will also make events hybrid where we can, i.e. you will be able to dial into the sessions via Zoom if you can’t attend in person.

We welcome everyone!

We also wanted to let you know about two other programmes we are running until December 2024 in Newport and in Rhondda Cynon Taf. We are partnering with these two councils to delivery a creative industries support programme and run a series of networking events. If your business is in the creative sector please let you know if you would also like to receive information about these other programmes?
