Kay R. Dennis (they/them) is an emerging theatre-maker, community organizer and an LGBTQ+ Consultant and Trainer based in Cardiff. They provide tailored consultation and awareness training for productions and organizations around inclusion and identity, using their lived experience as a trans nonbinary person. They aim to make spaces more equitable places, whilst educating companies about inclusive and aware practice.
Kay has been working as one of the lead volunteers for Trans Aid Cymru, a mutual aid organization working to help Transgender, Non-Binary, and Intersex (TIN) people through mutual aid support.
They have also most recently been a part of the Trans Pride Cardiff Committee, bringing their unique individual skills, experience, and knowledge to represent and bring together the trans community in Cardiff, culminating in a weekend of events from 15th-17th September 2023.
Kay was recognized as “One To Watch” by the Wales Online Pinc List in 2022, and was named as one of “7 inspirational people making a difference in Wales” for Wales Online.
